EUROPLEX® O is a novel orthopedic material with the following properties:
- successor product to PLEXIDUR® O
- good impact strength (comparable to polycarbonate), making it virtually unbreakable
- The relatively light inherent color makes orthopedic aids very unobtrusive to wear, and enables pressure points to be identified during fitting.
- Shows very good X-ray transmission, so that ortheses do not need to be removed during X-ray examinations.
- Easy to process: EUROPLEX® O can be thermoformed from 90° C onwards
- Further important aspects in connection with medical devices: EUROPLEX® O is not attacked by perspiration (good chemical resistance), is physiologically unobjectionable and has a perfectly smooth surface.
- It is therefore easy-care and hygienic
- Available as transparent sheets in thickness of 2.0 to 5.0 mm
