Aircraft glazing was one of the first applications for cast PLEXIGLAS®. It offers outstanding optical properties, is lightweight, resists temperature changes, has excellent mechanical properties, is easy to form and polish and thus the ideal product for this application. The product has gained an excellent reputation both in civil and military aviation over the course of the decades.
Basing on our extrusion technology we are in the position to offer coloured sheet for aircraft interior trim.
These products made from flame retardant Polycarbonate respectively PPSU were especially developed to meet the strict requirements of aircraft producers and authorities.
For applications where high rigidity and toughness are required e.g. for helicopter body parts or air inlet pipes we offer EUROPLEX® GV, a glassfiber-reinforced polycarbonate.
